Ceradyne produces small, injection-molded ceramic components for intricate
endoscopic technologies and laproscopic surgical applications. Thermal and electrical
insulation characteristics are especially preferred for cauterization probes
while compressive strength to load bearing parts and heat resistance protects
surrounding tissue.
Ceramic components used with endoscopic technologies are used especially where their thermal and electrical
insulation characteristics are needed, such as for insulation of cauterization
probes. Their stiffness prevents part deformation and resists wear when
aspirating tissue. Ceramics add compressive strength to load-bearing parts, and
injection molding allows for design features that otherwise would be costly to
include in endoscopic technologies.
