Ceradyne produces thermocouple protection tubes for the manufacture of titanium dioxide from titanium tetrachloride. These silicon nitride components are resistant to attack in this harsh environment. Silicon nitride thermocouple protection tubes are also supplied for use in “cat crackers” where wear resistance at high temperatures is of prime importance.

Ceradyne Silicon nitride is produced using patented compositions and processing techniques.
