Special Operations Force Protection
Special operations forces currently use Ceradyne's tactical
body armor that includes body, side and shoulder protection.
Advanced protection for other vulnerable body areas including
hips, legs and arms is currently under development.
Advanced Armor Technology
Ceradyne's patented armor technology uses boron carbide and silicon
carbide hot pressed tile products, pressureless-sintered silicon
carbide, silicon nitride and alumina based solutions in plate,
tile and round forms.
